As most of you are aware, Melissa and I are expceting our first child in March. We’re pretty darn excited though a bit nervous about starting parenthood in our 40’s.
The stork is due to drop off the package on March 14, 2008 and we got a bit of inside information that it’s a girl.
Melissa has been a real champ over the past 7 months. Now she’s busy fixing up the nursery and reading all the “what to expect” books. Ditto for me.
Melissa also has started the countdown. I believe today is 66 days to go.

Good luck on your new arrival. I was 40 and my husband was 43 when we had our little boy. He will be 2 years old in March. Yes parenthood in your 40’s is hard but sooooo worth it.

Congratulations, Ron and Melissa!
The one thing the “What to Expect” books can’t possibly tell you to expect is the completely weird feeling you’ll get on the morning you both wake up and realize she slept through the night for the first time!
Best wishes — Jay and Ka Small
